Ten Art Galleries/ studios mostly scattered through the surroundings of Kaikoura and a few in the centre are creating an array of interesting works of art such as pottery, jewellery, paintings, tattoos, sculptures. Take an “Art Trail” brochure from the Visitor Centre or one of the Art Galleries.
Cafe, Dining and Wine
Many restaurant casual and fine dinning also, offer local products such as seafood, venison, beef, etc and of course excellent wines of the region. Visitors can find some charming Cafés with great coffee and homemade products.
Go for a bike ride, play tennis or squash. Join a group to play golf or bowling or enjoy a horse ride along the coast or near the mountains. On a squad- biking safari you can experience spectacular views.
